Stephanie earned her Doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Toledo. She previously earned a Master’s degree in Community Counseling, also from UT.

 


About Stephanie:

Before joining Sylvania Therapy and Counseling, she worked in private and community behavioral health settings as both a therapist and in leadership roles, and has more than 15 years’ professional experience. Stephanie has worked in outpatient mental health programs, in inpatient/outpatient substance use treatment, as an adjunct university instructor with graduate level counseling students, and as a behavioral health consultant. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed Care.

Stephanie enjoys working with older teens (16+) and adults of all ages who are seeking a compassionate and encouraging source of support. She has extensive experience working with individuals with substance use issues, dual diagnosis, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma issues, and grief/bereavement. Stephanie is also very comfortable working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. Her goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive space for clients to process their life experiences and emotions, and to help them achieve their unique goals. Stephanie believes in the power of the therapy relationship to help individuals heal and transform their lives.
